Yum! Sweet, fruity, soft, jammy Spanish figs are ready, packed with fibre, minerals and vitamins and amazingly delicious to eat.  It was great to get Chaos and Mayhem involved to pick plenty of purple and green figs to eat fresh and make into a rich fig chutney.  The two fig varieties from our garden produced some real whoppers and the boys were delighted with their delicious haul!

  1. I love fresh figs from the tree, usually we are in the south of France at the end of August and they are just at their best then. We won’t be going this year and I’ll miss the figs. Enjoy yours.

  2. Just amazing when you pick the fruit off the tree. last summer we were in Portugal and able to pick oranges from the trees in the morning to make orange juice from. Tastes like nothing I’d ever had before. Keep on harvesting with your kids!
