When in France, Road Trip, Bordeaux

We hitched our loaded caravan to our loaded car and left Lancashire bright and early to arrive in sunny Newhaven for an afternoon ferry to Dieppe. The French part of our route included Rouen, Le Mans, Poitiers, Cognac, Bordeaux and Bayonne. We then crossed into Spain through Burgos, Valladolid and Salamanca and finally made it to central Portugal. It was fantastic to unpack and set up the awning in Portugal after brief camps near Rouen, Bordeaux and Salamanca. Fantastic scenery in four countries in four days, avoiding all toll roads, a total of 1500 miles.
