El Balcón del Coño, Ronda
Ronda is the mountaintop city of dreams located in Spain’s Malaga province, Andalusia. One of Spain’s oldest cities popular with Hemingway and Orson Welles.
This little balcony close to the Alameda park has to be one of the best places to marvel at the surrounding landscape. Lean over the balcony and take a deep breath if you dare! My wife and son patiently stood there while I followed the path around to get this photo of them. Over a hundred metres below is the stunning Tajo valley.
More to follow on the blog soon about Ronda.

We visited Rhonda last Spring. It was a lovely trip–hope you had a nice time. Fun photo of the balcony!
Thanks, it was our first visit and had really nice time. Glad you like the photo
Very impressive to see the clouds above your wife and son’s heads. Of course I am also looking at that picture thinking: “how did they build THAT?” #MySundayPhoto
Quite, how did they build that? as with most of Ronda. Great city, thanks
What a beautiful place! Not sure I would be brave enough to stand there though! 😀 #sundayphoto
Thanks, it’s really beautiful to look into that valley. I watched a few people step on to the balcony without realising how high it is 🙂
Beautiful and atmospheric
Thanks, it is atmospheric there, great sunsets. Way down below there used to be mills using the river and wheat fields.
Wow I love this, such a great shot and that view x
Thanks for the comment. The view goes on and on into the Sierra de Grazalema.
I’m not even sure I could get on the balcony let alone lean over! What a view though. Stunning.
It’s well worth a snaeky peak over the edge, luckily we don’t suffer from vertigo!
I love how the snow is just skirting the mountains
It’s even more impressive in person!
such an incredibly beautiful view. does that little balcony jut over the cliff? Eeek…virtago for me :0) Merry xmas.
Yes it is a little precarious and scary if you don’t like heights!
