Family Fun, Back in Lancashire

After an epic road trip from Central Portugal we finally, finally arrived in the UK and made it back up the M6 to the North West and my childhood home of Lancashire. There was a welcome from family and even the sun was surprisingly shining!
When we finally decompressed and recovered from spending three days in a car with the boys we headed out to explore our local area. The boys have always loved Lego, so we had to treat them to a day at Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester. It was a total surprise, such a delight to see the pure joy and excitement when we arrived in the car park.
We also headed to the coast, to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy all spoils of good old Blackpool. More recently we met up with some old friends and brought back some great memories when we visited the place we were married. The wedding photos were a little difficult to rein-act with the boys being silly and the youngest needing a wee! Isn’t life so much more fun when you add kids into the mix.

My what an epic road trip that was and 3 full days driving I’d say. Welcome home and I hope you enjoy your time back. Looks like some pretty special visits to start you off.
Blimey, that is one hell of a road trip. In a few weeks we’re doing our own road trip to Lake Garda, but even that’s only 2 days,
Wow busy busy. Need a holiday to recover from the holiday.
Quite a contrast to your usual pictures in Portugal and Spain but the importance of family oozes through these pics. Enjoy your time in Lacashire. #mysundayphoto
I hope you have had a great time back in Blighty! Loving the iconic last image of a British Summer!!
Welcome home! 😀 Love the last photo! #MySundayPhoto
The weather has been amazing up here recently hasn’t it! Hope you’re enjoying your time back home. We love Legoland DC too. #MySundayPhoto
Wow that is quite a journey. I hope you enjoy your time in the UK.
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
I don’t think I’d survive a 3-day road trip with my 2. They can’t go more than half an hour without arguing about something! I’m sure they’d drive me mad on day 1!
Sounds like an awesome journey! Great pictures, I love the Lego Space Man photo! #MySundayPhoto
Enjoy visiting the old home area and having fun. Looking forward to more pics.
Hi Andrea, what a trek, but it is nice for the boys to see where you grew up. It looks like you are having fun and your youngest looks as if he is trying to re-enact a stag night photo!… Have a great time in the UK.
xx

Must be a strange shift for the boy getting used to being in the North west rather than Portugal
