This Christmas we have travelled from Central Portugal to the Costa del Sol in Spain to spend some quality time with family; Grandma, Grandad, Aunties, Uncles and cousins, just as it should be at Christmas time perfect. It’s not quite as cold as England here, in fact we spent this afternoon on the beach. The boys were digging and even paddling! It’s not that hot here in Spain, but definitely pleasant and we had the beach to ourselves, yes it was blatantly obvious that we were English and yes we were the only ones to brave the freezing cold sea!
Before leaving Portugal we took the opportunity to take a family photo with our eco christmas tree. The Christmas jumpers and accessories were dug out, and although we lacked a tripod the camera did pretty well balancing on top of the bin. With our camera set to the Drive Mode, self-timer continuous shooting x 10, we hoped there was a chance to capture a family photo with us all smiling. The long grass was quickly trampled down, then it is a case of pressing the button, run back to join the family and adjust the Christmas accessories before the pictures start to take. We think we managed to get the perfect photo.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Feliz Navidad. Feliz Natal para todos, Feliz Ano Novo!
Some wonderful memories of our previous two Christmases, 2016 in Granada, Spain and 2015 further inland in Central Portugal (and yes, the penguin Christmas jumper still fits…just!)
